Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died after a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour, reported Hindustan Times.
He was 53.
The report stated the actor was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, India, on Tuesday (April 28), where he was under observation for colon infection.
He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018
Irrfan had not only carved a successful acting career in India, he was also known globally having appeared in Western-produced films like Life Of Pi, Slumdog Millionaire, The Darjeeling Limited, The Amazing Spider-Man, Jurassic World and Inferno.
Although he was battling the disease, Irrfan didn’t stop acting. His latest film was this year’s Bollywood film Angrezi Medium.
